Ashwagandha: 10% Withanolides - Soltonic
Ashwagandha: 10% Withanolides - Soltonic

A Unique Patented Ashwagandha Extract

Soltonic is a patented Ashwagandha extract that utilizes both leaves and roots through a unique process. This method results in triple standardization of active ingredients (oligosaccharides, glycowithanolides, and withaferin A).

Soltonic can be safely consumed daily as it does not contain the toxic compounds naturally found in Ashwagandha (scopolamine, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, aristolochic acid).

The effectiveness of the extract in Soltonic has been scientifically proven.

Potential Side Effects

No known side effects have been observed for the recommended dosage.

The product may enhance the action of antidiabetic medications.

Why choose Soltonic over other Ashwagandha extracts?

• Soltonic’s Ashwagandha extract includes both root and leaves to maximize its benefits, as both parts of the plant are rich in active compounds.

• This extract is uniquely triple-standardized in active ingredients with scientifically proven quality.

• Soltonic’s Ashwagandha extract is free from toxic substances such as scopolamine, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, or aristolochic acid.

• Scientific studies have shown that Soltonic’s extract is effective compared to a placebo.

What is an adaptogenic plant like Ashwagandha, and how should you consume it?

The term “adaptogenic plant” was coined in 1947 by Russian scientist Dr. Lazarev. It refers to plants that enhance the body’s ability to combat stress in a holistic manner, regardless of whether the stress is physical, physiological, or emotional. However, not all adaptogenic plants are the same; they have different benefits, such as fighting fatigue, alleviating depression, boosting immunity, or protecting the liver.

These plants differ from stimulants (like coffee, tea, or guarana) and from plants that specifically enhance immunity, such as echinacea.

Important: Scientific studies that have demonstrated significant physiological effects of adaptogenic plants have used extracts with standardized active ingredients to ensure a sufficient concentration in the body.

Ashwagandha has been standardized with a scientifically validated dosage that is safe for the body.

Scientific Information

Soltonic contains a water-based standardized extract from both the root and leaf of the Ashwagandha plant (Sensoril®). In Ayurvedic medicine, this plant is known as “Indian ginseng.”

Ashwagandha strengthens immunity, has an anti-inflammatory effect, inhibits cognitive decline, and acts as an adaptogen to relieve stress.

Reduction of Stress Parameters in Chronically Stressed Adults (1)

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 130 adults (ages 18 to 60) suffering from chronic stress, Sensoril® (Soltonic) was administered in three different doses (125 mg/day, 2 x 125 mg/day, and 2 x 250 mg/day) for two months.

Results showed a significant reduction in stress symptoms after one month in the 125 mg/day group compared to placebo, with a dose-dependent improvement observed in the 250 and 500 mg/day groups.

Symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, headaches, muscle pain, palpitations, dry mouth, insomnia, forgetfulness, irritability, and concentration issues (measured by the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale or MHAM-A test) were significantly lower in the Sensoril® group compared to placebo (p<0.001). Symptom reduction was even more pronounced after two months of supplementation. In the Sensoril® (Soltonic) group, serum levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) and CRP (an inflammation marker) decreased, while levels of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA, the wellbeing hormone) and hemoglobin (oxygen transporter) increased.

The highest doses even demonstrated beneficial effects on cholesterol levels.

No serious side effects were reported.

Reduction of Stress and Anxiety in Adults (2)

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 64 subjects with a history of chronic stress received 300 mg/day of a standardized Ashwagandha root extract for two months.

The results indicated a significant reduction in perceived stress compared to placebo (p<0.0001) and a substantial decrease in serum cortisol levels (p=0.0006).

No serious adverse effects were reported.

Anxiety Treatment: Superior Effect of Ashwagandha vs. Standardized Psychotherapy (3)

A 12-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted on 81 patients with moderate to severe anxiety symptoms. 41 patients received 300 mg/day of an Ashwagandha root extract, along with vitamins, dietary counseling, and relaxation breathing techniques. The remaining 40 patients were given a placebo, the same counseling as the Ashwagandha group, and standardized psychotherapy. The results demonstrated anxiety improvement in both groups, with a significantly greater stress reduction in the Ashwagandha group (56.5% decrease (p<0.0001)) compared to the psychotherapy group (30.5% decrease (p<0.0001)).

Significant differences in favor of the Ashwagandha group were also noted in mental health, concentration, fatigue, vitality, and overall quality of life.

No serious adverse effects were reported.

Numerous Applications for Age-Related Neurodegenerative Symptoms

- One study (4) reviews Ashwagandha's applications in treating central nervous system disorders (particularly stress, epilepsy, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s).

- An analysis (5) focuses on the tumor-inhibiting and anti-angiogenic properties of withaferin A, as well as the effects of withanolides A on Alzheimer’s disease.

- Another review (6) examines various studies highlighting Ashwagandha’s anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-stress, antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and hematopoietic benefits, as well as its positive effects on the central nervous, cardiopulmonary, and endocrine systems. This study also emphasizes the non-toxicity of Ashwagandha supplementation.

Mechanism of Ashwagandha ’s Neuroprotective Action (7)

Experimental research on mice exposed to stress demonstrated that components of Withania somnifera have a stimulating effect on the central nervous system through various neurotransmitter systems, including serotonin (mood enhancement), GABA (anxiety suppression), acetylcholine (memory function support), and dopamine (mood regulation and muscle movement control).

Conclusion

Soltonic can be used as support in the following cases:

• When mental and physical resilience decreases

• In cases of burnout, fatigue, anxiety, feelings of depression, and stress

• To delay cognitive aging

• To support the central nervous system in cases of epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or opioid painkiller withdrawal

• As an anti-inflammatory for arthritis

• For athletes to help manage mental pressure and physical exertion

FAQ
FAQ (questions fréquentes)

- Most of our nutrients come from France or Europe (local is a priority), except when we can't do otherwise (for curcuma, for example). We never choose ingredients from places or countries where quality is not assured and workers are poorly paid.

- Solage products are designed in France and manufactured according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards from the pharmaceutical industry and the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) method, developed by NASA.

Both methods implement procedures, documents and controls to guarantee perfect traceability and the absence of biological or chemical contamination.

- Solage is a French company, and its products are registered with the relevant authorities.

Solage products are safe, with no bad surprises.

To answer this question, we distinguish between three types of product, depending on their nature and intended purpose:

1/ Ideally taken as a continuous treatment: those which compensate for a nutritional or age-related deficiency, and which serve to restore the body's functions without altering its normal metabolism.

- Common nutritional deficiencies: marine omega-3, vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin D between October and May

- Age-related or pathological deficiencies: Ubiquinol, Glutathione, Iron, Collagen (type I and II)

- To help the body deal with underlying problems: Saffron, Ashwagandha, Men's and women's urinary comfort, cholesterol

2/ To be taken in a cure, but where a break is not necessarily necessary if you or your healthcare professional find it useful:

Detox: Milk thistle, Glutathione

Digestion: Probiotics

3/ Products where a break is useful:

- Curcumin: at least a break of a few days between each box, as it modifies metabolic pathways in the body

- Echinacea (immunity): a break of a few days between each box so as not to over-stimulate the immune system

- Melatonin: avoid taking it every day over the long term, so as not to habituate the body.

In all cases, it's important to remember that the products we offer are genuinely active, that it's important to respect dosage and that they are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

This will of course depend on the product and your physiological state.

It's worth remembering that physiology is a long-term process, and that it generally takes two to three months, sometimes longer, to achieve a profound change.

However, the feeling is generally quicker, between 15 days and two months. It is then necessary to continue to try to fix these initial results in greater depth.

However, this will be much quicker with subsequent products:

- Melatonin and sublingual GABA, which have a very rapid onset of action (between two minutes and 30 minutes)

- Probiotics (48 hours to two weeks))

Please refer to the “Scientific studies” section of this product page, where you'll find most studies on bioavailability and medium-term effects.
