Solberry helps protect the urinary system against infections and maintain its health.
More than half of women will experience a urinary tract infection (UTI) at some point. One in four women will suffer from recurring infections.
The traditional treatment for UTIs involves taking a high dose of antibiotics.
Unsurprisingly, Escherichia coli, the bacteria responsible for most UTIs, has already developed resistance to certain antibiotics (β-lactams and fluoroquinolones).
Solberry works through two main mechanisms to prevent urinary tract infections:
1- by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria
2- by limiting their ability to adhere to urinary tract cells, including the bladder
Bacteria are then eliminated naturally before they can develop into an infection.
Pacran® works as effectively but lasts longer than other extracts dosed at 36 mg of PACs
Pacran® is a unique (and multiply patented) cranberry extract made from the whole fruit (skin, juice, seeds, and pulp, along with the fiber fraction).
Its effectiveness has been compared to other PAC-rich extracts dosed at 36 mg per capsule. The result is clear: Pacran® works as effectively but lasts longer. While the efficacy of PAC-rich extracts stops after 6 to 9 hours, Pacran® remains effective for 24 hours.
It works by preventing harmful bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract. This action helps stop infections from developing.
The uniqueness of this cranberry extract lies in its complete spectrum of bioactive substances, including proanthocyanidins (PACs) and other compounds (phenols, organic acids, fibers, fatty acids, proteins, and sugars).
This complete spectrum makes it significantly more effective than other extracts.
This unique efficacy is why our extract is the only one in the world recognized as effective by health authorities (in Canada and South Korea) for its ability to prevent E. Coli bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract.
Pacran® has been the subject of 8 scientific studies demonstrating its ability to act when a UTI is already present and to prevent the establishment of an infection.
These results were achieved with 500 mg of Pacran® per day, which is the daily dose provided by Solberry.
UTIrose™ is a patented extract of Hibiscus flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) standardized to protective active compounds
It works by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria such as E. Coli and C. Albicans. By preventing bacterial proliferation, the infection does not develop.
It is standardized to contain over 40% organic acids, more than 5% sambubiosides (including hibiscin), and over 45% phenols.
This triple standardization reduced the risk of UTIs by 77% in a placebo-controlled study conducted on women with frequent UTIs.
This result was achieved with 200 mg of UTIrose™ per day, the daily dose of Solberry (two capsules per day).
Solberry is also enriched with Vitamin C, known for its effectiveness in fighting UTIs.
Why choose Solberry over other natural solutions for urinary infections ?
• Pacran® has demonstrated superior efficacy compared to other cranberry-based supplements in various scientific studies:
- More effective than consuming cranberry juice
- Superior to non-standardized whole cranberry powder
- Outperforms cranberry extracts standardized to 36 mg of PACs per day (BL-DMAC method)
• Pacran® and UTIrose™ are unique extracts with scientifically proven efficacy
• Pacran® is the only cranberry extract worldwide whose effectiveness is recognized by health authorities (Canada and South Korea)
• Pacran® contains a full spectrum of bioactive substances from cranberries: a standardized amount of proanthocyanidins (PACs) synergized with phenols, organic acids, fibers, fatty acids, proteins, and sugars
• UTIrose™ is perfectly characterized and has won the "Most Innovative Ingredient Award." Its efficacy in preventing recurrent cystitis has been proven

Cranberry, Mechanisms of Action and Studies
Cranberries have a complex profile of phytonutrients, including three classes of flavonoids (flavonols, anthocyanins, and proanthocyanidins), triterpenoids, catechins, and other polyphenols, all of which contribute to its effects.
The anthocyanins in cranberries are well absorbed by the body and can be found in urine, indicating their potential to act in the urinary tract (1).
Cranberries prevent E. Coli and other Gram-negative bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract epithelium (such as the bladder wall) through type A proanthocyanidins, which inhibit bacterial attachment via P-type fimbriae, and fructose, which prevents the attachment of type 1 fimbriae. Fimbriae are appendages that allow E. Coli to adhere to the epithelium (2).
Treatment and Prevention of Acute Recurrent Cystitis
Two clinical studies on the full-spectrum cranberry preparation (Pacran®) have demonstrated its effectiveness in treating and preventing urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Pacran® is Effective in Treating Developed Urinary Tract Infections
In a pilot study (3), 60 women with E. Coli-positive UTIs took 500 to 1000 mg of Pacran® or a placebo daily for three months. In both cranberry groups, the number of cases with measurable E. Coli in the urine significantly decreased (p < 0.05) after 10 days, unlike the placebo group (p = 0.7). This decrease was accompanied by symptom relief (less itching or burning sensation during urination), effective in both dosage groups (500 and 1000 mg).
Pacran® is Effective in Preventing Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections
A second multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled study (4) evaluated the prophylactic potential of Pacran® in 176 participants with recurrent UTIs. After six months of use at a dosage of 500 mg/day, the percentage of UTIs in the treated group was 58% lower than in the placebo group.
Hibiscus, Mechanisms of Action and Studies
Hibiscus sabdariffa, also known as Roselle or Guinea sorrel, belongs to the Malvaceae family. It has recently been used successfully to manage urinary tract infections.
Hibiscus sabdariffa contains phenolic compounds that inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, such as E. Coli and C. Albicans.
This hibiscus variety also contains antibacterial substances like the flavonoid gossypetin, which directly kills pathogenic germs.
A study (5) on 40 women prone to UTIs showed that Hibiscus sabdariffa effectively helps manage frequent urinary infections.
Women who took a standardized hibiscus extract of 100 mg twice daily, containing 5% sambubiosides, had 77% fewer infections than those in the placebo group.
Additionally, a marked improvement in urinary comfort was observed.
Hibiscus sabdariffa can also be used preventively in men prone to urinary tract infections due to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is recommended for preventing urinary tract infections and offers additional benefits when combined with cranberry and roselle.
Prevention of Urinary Tract Infections During Pregnancy
The use of standardized cranberry extracts during pregnancy has proven effective and safe, even while breastfeeding (6).
A daily intake of 100 mg of vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is also helpful for pregnant women to prevent urinary tract infections (7).
Conclusion
Cranberry and Hibiscus sabdariffa, in combination with Vitamin C, can be used as support in the following cases:
- prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections (including cystitis)
- treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- prevention of UTIs in cases of neurogenic bladder (following spinal cord injury) (8)

Solage products are safe, with no bad surprises.
To answer this question, we distinguish between three types of product, depending on their nature and intended purpose:
1/ Ideally taken as a continuous treatment: those which compensate for a nutritional or age-related deficiency, and which serve to restore the body's functions without altering its normal metabolism.
- Common nutritional deficiencies: marine omega-3, vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin D between October and May
- Age-related or pathological deficiencies: Ubiquinol, Glutathione, Iron, Collagen (type I and II)
- To help the body deal with underlying problems: Saffron, Ashwagandha, Men's and women's urinary comfort, cholesterol
2/ To be taken in a cure, but where a break is not necessarily necessary if you or your healthcare professional find it useful:
Detox: Milk thistle, Glutathione
Digestion: Probiotics
3/ Products where a break is useful:
- Curcumin: at least a break of a few days between each box, as it modifies metabolic pathways in the body
- Echinacea (immunity): a break of a few days between each box so as not to over-stimulate the immune system
- Melatonin: avoid taking it every day over the long term, so as not to habituate the body.
In all cases, it's important to remember that the products we offer are genuinely active, that it's important to respect dosage and that they are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
This will of course depend on the product and your physiological state.
It's worth remembering that physiology is a long-term process, and that it generally takes two to three months, sometimes longer, to achieve a profound change.
However, the feeling is generally quicker, between 15 days and two months. It is then necessary to continue to try to fix these initial results in greater depth.
However, this will be much quicker with subsequent products:
- Melatonin and sublingual GABA, which have a very rapid onset of action (between two minutes and 30 minutes)
- Probiotics (48 hours to two weeks))
